About Jenna

Hi, I'm Jenna Ryan, chef, maker, homeschooler, chicken wrangler and mother of three little ones residing in Maine. Before I was all of these glamorous things, I was as a restaurant chef in the San Francisco Bay Area where I worked in the wildly intense kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant and learned how to craft food that is elevated and transformationally delicious. I then apprenticed under some of the best known ancient diet experts in the area and developed a deep understanding of traditional food preparations and the true nourishment it brings. My food is thus a flavorful blend of high-end, ingredient-focused cooking, with a "nutrient-density-first" ethos.

In my next chapter, I became a mother, and learned that in the fiercly wonderful and extremely depleting period of postpartum, food actually is the medicine.

Cocoon Made is where I get to share that medicine. The postpartum phase is a pivotal moment in a woman's life—a time that can either leave her drained and broken or see her emerge from her cocoon as a beacon of health, vibrancy, and strength - a butterfly, if you will. Cocoon Made is here to support mothers through this metamorphosis, as well as those who are recovering from events like a major health diagnosis or surgery.

Whether you're in the postpartum phase or any time when you need to feel held and nourished, Cocoon Made and I are here for you.
Warmly,
Jenna
